IR-5 A question of Pink?
I have been working on the "foreign" IR-5 Dame Aurora. I am not sure which would be the official pink of Monte-Cristo. Far left is a slight orangish-pink, center a more salmon-orange pink/peach and right a more violet pink. The stock is a deeper pink similar to that on the mermaid standard. I have toyed with the eggshell pants and they still appear white in the graphic program. I have decided to make the regiment foot as this will give the infantry an overall look with the cornflower blue. I believe that foreign or "Internet" submitted regiments will receive the yellow hat lace with the locals having the white hat lace. Let me know which color is most befitting monsieur.

I confess a preference for the right-hand pattern with the most 'pinkisk' pink (even if more 'coral' than 'salmon'?), but what about a public poll to choose between the center and right ones?
Compliments,
Jean-Louis
I confess that pink is not my favorite colour . . . but if I had to make a choice . . .
With the garish pink stock, the far right pink works best.
I like the salmon-colour better (and it is more Aurora-like) but it clashes with the stock.

I agree with both Jean-Louis and Jeff that the right-hand pattern is best. When I think of "pink" that color reminds me more than the other two.

Well, does the stock need to be bright pink or would a red or black stock work better?
I agree with Jean-Louis -- the violet pink on the far right is lovely against the light blue coats.
Best Regards,
Stokes
I concur, the far right shade looks better against the blue. Good luck...Bill
The 'deep pink' stock is very Monte-Cristan, and fits well with the lighter pink of the facings...
Thinking of it, I suspect the bag of the grenadiers' hat would also be of the 'mermaid deep pink'. Monte-Cristo is located between Provence and Italy, they do NOT fear gaudy colors there...
