Leib Battalion Flag of Cavenderia

Leib Battalion Flag Designed by David Linienblatt of http://nba-sywtemplates.blogspot.com/ Although the image is final the colors may not be, any suggestions are welcome. The latin at the bottom is from an on-line translator and should read "we shall not fall" but if anyone knows latin and could proof read this that would be great. I really appreciate the extra work David went through to produce this flag. The checkered border is in Cavenderia blue and gold a nod to Bavaria.

Assuming my Tridentine Rite Latin is correct, Cadere is third conjugation, with "cademus"--future indicative, first person plural, meaning "we shall fall."

In that case "We shall not fall" could more simply be rendered "Non cademus."

Generally I like colorful flags . . . but for the Life Guard white does seem appropriate.

An excellent flag!
I wonder if a different color for the scroll-y thing (stop with the jargon! lol) might look better, such as Cavenderian blue?

David sent me an email. He agrees with Herzog about the latin and has placed a curved font with the corrected latin at the bottom of the flag and moved the scroll up a bit. It will take me a while to re-color it but I will make a couple with different colors for viewing. Herzog the Bishi Bazouks arrived today I will need to know if they have a flag and/or color scheme you would prefer to see.

I assume the Leib Battalion is different from (or only a part of) IR3? Now at least in Russia the (equivalent of) the 'Leib' outfit had a special uniform...

I may have used the name in err. I meant for the first company of the first Battalion of each regiment to carry it.

There's nothing wrong with naming the first company of the first battalion of each regiment "the Leib Company": an interesting local tradition, reflecting strong affective links between the Prince and his whole army.

I'll need to find my lexicons and dictionaries, but I believe there was a classical motto which meant We Shall Not Fall ...which I'll look up ... having a senior moment at the moment.
But it should be two word or at most three word motto ...
Also, mottos would be more traditionally written on a sort of curved ribbon within the design?

What an excellent design, and so in keeping with the period! I look forward to seeing the regiment with these colors at its head.
